What are your thoughts on the best wordpress theme to boost organic traffic, optimize AdSense, SEO, etc?

Depends On what your site is aimed towards.
usually i use genesis

My 1st niche site converts well for AdSense but it isn't doing much for me on SEO / organic traffic. I want to try a new theme and see if that improves. I've optimized the pages for SEO, just not ranking or getting results.

As above - the theme has no bearing on your seo. You can get plugins regardless of the theme. As long as the page is optimized you will be good to go. Some themes will have better bounce rates but that is contingent on your niche. There is not just 1 theme to end all themes .

Theme has pretty much zero impact on organic traffic. That is all about content and backlinks, my friend.

thanks for the replies! I just haven't seen much organic traffic at all. I've optimized my pages, but haven't bought any backlinks, etc. I have over 30 posts on the blog with new fresh content. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong?

The best wordpress theme for SEO that I personally use most of the times is Twenty Eleven and is among the most downloaded themes.
