Best WordPress Blog Theme For Beginners?

Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone knows of any free blog themes for WordPress that are free (or cheap) for Beginners. I’m starting a Gaming News Blog and couldn’t find anything on Google besides E-Sports templates. If anyone knows of one or can point me to a site that may have something like that it would be very helpful!

PS: If anyone is willing to teach me some about how to be more efficient when Blogging or even point me to a course for it it would be of great help

To my experience, serious blogs need premium themes. Free themes lack of important functions.
GeneratePress offers a free version, you can always upgrade to premium later, because speed really matters, I recommend that well-coded theme.
