Are you talking about copyright-free or royalty-free images? Google Images has a search parameter for that.

Buy it on stock photo shops.

If you loiter on the subscription plan page for a minute you will get a 7 day free trial offer @ 5 images a day. Any size even the big ass ones that are normally a pretty penny. That plan is $69 a month and way cheaper than buying them ala carte

Yeah seeing this blew my mind a little, exactly what I was looking for as well. Perfect

here is my list of places that I use to get hi-rez and hi-qual images for free and with commercial use rights

unsplash - the best place ever for do whatever you want photos
littlevisuals - just like unsplash
gratisography - just like unsplash
wefunction - has a good list of free photos
superfamous - mostly nature background photos, but very good
deathtothestockphoto - title says it all, superbly good photos, you need to register though
photopin - lots of good photos form around the web
pixabay - very hi-rez photos, you'll need to register though
dotspin - has a good selection of photos, some of wich you can download for free
freeimages - formerly sxc.hu, totally free images, best if you do photoshop mixes and need specific images of things
flickr has creative commons search feature and you can find very hi-res quality photos here and has a huuuuge database, you'll need to give credit though
and of course, google has the same feature

a question: when you put a picture on your website, how can anyone know if you pay for it or not?

you can put watermarks on the pictures or you can put a lower quality version, and only when they pay you give them the hi-qual.

Great list, thanks for sharing. Have checked them all and get HQ images it's very helpful for me, I'll use these image sources in my blog posts.
