Best website to write for money

What's the best site to write for money. I would like to get paid per word. Or something like that. And yes I've used the search option!

There are many sites that pay you to write articles and this forum has lots of threads that will lead you to those sites.

Exactly. It's not enough to use the search option. You have to actually search and read lots of posts. Look what sites are others talking about and what they are saying about it. Or just use google..

However, the best option (I think) is to sell your own services. You can use Fiverr for it.

I used to write for iWriter.com and here's their current typical payout scheme:

$1.62 for a 300 word article,
$2.43 for a 500 word article and,
$4.05 for 700 word article.

They have a Standard, Premium and Elite Level and the higher Tier writers gets more per article than a standard writer (Based on their FAQs, Elite Writers can earn up to $15.00+ for each article, i just don't know how many words the FAQ is referring to).

The best site is Demand Media Studios, but you have to be a native English speaker (or be perfectly fluent) and have a PayPal account. They pay $25 per article, but they only accept US/Canadian writers and the editing process is super-strict.

The next best site is Textbroker, which pays up to $7 or $8 or higher, but I'm pretty sure it's US only.

Constant Content is good for selling pre-written articles for good prices like $25-$50, but the editors can be a pain and articles will often sit for months without selling.

Yahoo! used to be a great place to sell anything readable at $3-$5ish, but they are quite picky now and barely accept anything for upfront pay. You can try it, though. Also US PayPal only.

If you are not from the US, Fiverr and forums like BHW are probably the best places to sell where you can get $4-$5 per article.

Only go with iWriter if you live in India or the Philippines or somewhere where it makes financial sense. The thing that sucks (besides the low pay) is that they allow clients to reject work -- which they often do, of course. That's the bottom of the barrel.

iWriter is becoming a worthless for writers because of hundreds of scammers who use the site to get several articles absoloutely free. This is how they do it.

Order an article for a keyword and keep rejecting it. There are no limits to how many times you reject articles on iWriter! There are 3 levels - standard, elite and premium, standard being the lowest category. If you reject too many articles written by premium writers you could come into the spotlight. If you order standard articles you get mostly crap. But if you choose to order through elite writers and do the rejection trick there is little possibility of any adverse result.

I have seen people with an approval record of 30-40 elite articles rejected and ZERO approved! I also know of people using this trick to get varied articles on the same keyword so that they can use the best article to post on their own site and the rest for posting for backlinks. No need for a spinner when you can get as many articles as you want on iWriter.

Brad Callen the owner of iWriter is well aware of this issue but chooses to look the other way while raking in the moolah from his unique concept(there is no other site that works on the same model as iWriter).

If you are writing for a living, you will find iWriter tough to work with due to this reason alone. However, if you choose to carry on for the long-term there are writers who get repeat orders on iWriter since there is a provision for shortlisting writers for your projects on a permanent basis. Just be sure to be ready to face a lot of rejections by people who purposely use this trick to get articles for free. One way to insure against fake rejections is to choose people with 75% approval and above since iWriter has an option for choosing orderers by approval rate.

You can also write on Fiverr but there are hundreds(thousands?) of writers on Fiverr and people usually choose those with the best and largest amount of feedback. Since Fiverr allows I think 20 gigs per account be sure to create 20 gigs worded in different ways so that you get some visibility due to a large number of gigs since you will get very few orders in the beginning.

You can also get orders from Craigslist where a lot of people look for long term writers. If you write well you can get a good price for your articles since people who advertise on CL are usually not aware of cheap places like Fiverr and iWriter.

I would suggest that you start a gig on a site that offers this, such as SEOClerks or fiverr. Then you can set your price for what you wish to have. Best of luck to you.

Fiverr is a good choice if you just want to earn 5$.

try odesk and elance , there you can get more money for your writing skills and clients will pay more if you do a great job.

Honestly the best way is to write for your own blog.

But if not you could check out infobarrel.com

I'd recommend Fiverr. Also, I'll give you a few tips on how to get started. For one, at first, say that you'll write more than 600 words for a Fiverr. Most writers on Fiverr do a lot less than that, but you have to do a bit more than others, otherwise nobody will order from you as you'll have no positive reviews. Once you start to get some orders, make sure to do an awesome job, and when you already have a 50 or so positive reviews and quite possible recurring clients, change the amount of words you are willing to write for a fiverr to 400.

Also, if you are any good, get on Constant Content.

eHow also has a writer payment scheme, i think their outfit is Demand Media. THey have a good platform that will pay you quite well, relatively.

And Yahoo has a very bad payment scheme for contributors
