I actually just dove into xsitepro 2 and it is pretty kick ass - I have high aspirations about this, but, just like Jason Parker said, it's content and backlinks all the way...

But honestly though, I build almost every single website using Fantastico - Wordpress. I can practically modify and do anything to Wordpress blog. Not to forget that WP performs well in the SERPS.
 
I use wp mostly but when I don't I use Xsite Pro
