Youtube videos performs specially well in terms of easy ranking. You should definitely give it a try. Make a slideshow and embed your clients url with a watermark. Put the url in the top of the video description and write up a nice, keyword rich, description for your video.
 
Not a web 2.0 but according to easiest to rank for t1 backlinks

Slideshare -> Youtube -> Wordpress
 
If your going to use it for 1st tier make sure that the content is readable and unique.
 
Anyone have experience with blasting links to blogspot blogs? I'm planning to create a few to test out some products before I make a site on it and I wanted to blast it with fiverr gigs to get it ranking quickly so I can see if the product converts.
