Best ways of building backlings

Hi guys!

I've wonder what is the best way of building backlinks? Just spam-post your link wherever you can post it?

I've been trying to create some backlinks, correct me if it's a bad method. What I've done is that I searched for the niche in a site which brings me alots of links for the niche, which in many of the links, (not all) I can comment something then put my link there.
I've also heard (and done this) that there are smart to put your link in forums, signatures and so on. I wonder if it's good when you type the link in your Homepage: (in profiles)...

Well this is what I know, any ideas? anyone? What's the best way of creating backlinks as fast as possible. (with or without any softwares)

learn about senuke and scapebox. its a good way to start.

Building web 2.0 pyramids and guestblogging on sites with the same PR as you or lower. Wouldn't mess with forums and most blog comments are nofollow junk.

Choices are getting limited...

I use mixture of all WEB 2.0, Article directories, Book marks, forum & blog postings.
After doing all what i do is i search for my KW in google, mail site owners about link exchange. I place there link on my site i ask the same from them. Usually i get 50% success rate with this. By this way you get relevant backlinks.
Tip : If you niche is "iPhone damage insurance", go for broader search like "iPhone" if you use same KW all will be your competitors.

Most of what I did was go to similar sites and post comments. I did forum posting for some time as well, which seemed to help. Make sure the topics match your site or it wont make any sense.

But yeah, there's probably many better ways than the hard way. haha!

Use the search bar, not to be rude but you'll gain more from reading a bunch of threads than the answers you'll get in this one.
