Best way to SEO a review website?

Hello!

Looking for help here guys. I haven't touched SEO in years and I am getting back into it now. I am trying to figure out my best approach here. I have started a website where I review products. So over this week, I have ordered several PBN services for 2 of my inner pages. Pages that I want to be ranked for specific products talked about in those reviews. I've made sure to give a diverse link profile order, so I am not making the mistake in sending all the links to the keyword that I am after. But moving forward, should I also build backlinks to the domain itself, instead of only building backlinks to inner pages? In terms of making money, I have no reason to try to rank my top level domain for any term. I just want my inner pages to rank for the products that I review.

But is that bad in Google's eyes? Should I also build backlinks to my top level domain, as that would seem more natural to Google as well? I would guess that it would also help with my domain authority?

The general rules of SEO apply to this niche as well.

Use unique content and high PR links for your site.

If your talking about the home page yes you should also build links for homepage especially in the begenning of a site. Even if your not targeting keyword there u can used generic and brand anchor text to build overall site authority.
