Hi Guys,

I'm a bit of a newbie her and im managing a site with lots of images and I am wondering how to best optimize images for SEO?

Should I just add descriptions and captions for the terms that I want to rank for? and are relevant to the image obviously?

GEO Setter and add the GEO information and keywords and meta-data and upload them. I also use PhotoShop to set image quality and size so they are compressed and load faster just suggestions a ton of people use plugins but personally I hear all the time I have 99 problems and they are all plugins.

Install the shortpixel plugin it really helps with compression - more so then optimising them in photoshop. Make sure atleast one alt tag has the keyword your trying to rank for. The other alt tags can relate to whatever the image is (random or lsi keyword). I find myself getting good results from the above.

well, the images need to be of a good quality, in the correct aspect ration, with good resolution and of a size large enough to be visible across devices.

You need to first find an image which in short should tell the whole story...Then you need to add the targeted keyword in the alt text description of the image.... Hence when someone search that keyword in image search, your blog image should be shown in the results..
