Depends on what your memes are centered around. Theme > Traffic Type > Monetize for said Traffic

Affiliates can work too but that's if the memes are niche specific.

Collecting emails seems like a good idea, most of those meme kids also like anime stuff so you can push a lot of products on them.

Best way would be adsense, but still got to be careful with that. Only minus for meme sites, you need shit load of traffic to make decent money, and i seriously mean SHIT LOAD !

If you could do that with fitness or any other niche site, you would make way more with less traffic

You could also make a Landing Page with something like: "In order to see the content, please signup to our sponsor (or something similar). Then promote it on your page and watch $$$ rollin

I think the best way would be a CPM network because in this type of sites it's really hard to get clicks or even sales but you would have tons of pageviews.
