So I have a script that essentially lets me get the first @mention reply to any celebrity on Twitter, be it Katy Perry, Donald Trump, etc....
For the past 4 months, what I would do is put up a provocative message like 'Kate upton had sex tape, vid leaked here: ' and I averaged about 100K clicks onto my webpages per month. Out of those 100k clicks, I had an ad set up on the mobile landing page, and I would get maybe 4-5k clicks a month on that. CPC was like $.3 on average, so I was making $1200-$1500 a month.
I tried marketing things besides adult traffic, like t-shirts or amazon affiliates, but honestly nothing comes close to adult traffic as far as profits are concerned.
BTW, the amount of impressions my tweets with the marketed message received was about 500k per account a month, and I have about 13 accounts running for a steady 6-7M impressions a month.
Now the reason I'm posting here is because yesterday my adsense was disabled (about time lol) and my first thought was to go use media.net or another alternative so at least the script continues to make $.
But I always think to myself, wouldn't a girls clothing brand love it if they could have the first @mention reply to someone like Justin Bieber, who has millions of teenage girls following him? That has got to be worth something right? For branding alone, 6-7M impressions isn't bad.
But I don't really know how to go about that, so I'm sticking with just monetizing via PPC for now.
So I'm wondering, if you guys had access to such a script, how would you go about monetizing it? Would you stick with the PPC programs like adsense/media.net, or is there something I'm not seeing? I tried CPA, but Twitter traffic is something like 95% mobile for me, and for adult marketing specifically the bounce rate tends to be a bit high.
