I have a dating web app (non-adult) that receives USA traffic.

I created it as a fun project, but since its getting traffic, I was wondering the best way to monetize it.

Suggestions are welcome.

Thanks.

You can monetize your dating app with ads (AdMob, Mediavine), premium subscriptions for extra features, in-app purchases, or affiliate partnerships with relevant services.

Dating apps have way more monetization options than just ads. Since you already have USA traffic:

- Freemium tiers (free swipes, paid for unlimited + super likes + profile boosts)
- Profile verification badges (small fee, builds trust)
- Premium messaging (let them match free, charge to message first)
- Virtual gifts (works surprisingly well)
- Dating coach / matchmaker affiliate offers
- Lead gen for background check services (big in US dating)

Ads are fine but they kill UX on dating apps. I'd lean into subscription or in-app purchases first.

What's your current MAU looking like?

Yeah, this guybhas been around the corner, do it like the match group does, give or take.

Advertisements are probably the last thing you want on a dating app.

Send me a DM with more information on your fun project.

If it has volume i might be interested in buying it from you

give users higher placements
limit clicks, charge for more interactions

And what are they doing on your “non-adult dating site”—playing paper boats?

You got here some very interesting options.

From our perspective, from what we have seen in startups asking the same question, is that if your users are non-adults they may not have a lot of money for freemium/premium options. An alternative may be mixing these freemium/premium options with ads (you see this Ad, you get X freemium/premium reward).
