I'm running a crypto blog which is approaching 100k visitors / month pretty quickly.

What's the best way to monetize it?

I've thought about
  • Affiliate links (doesn't work so well at the moment)
  • Regular, crypto guest posts (works well)
  • Casino guest posts (super well paid, but probably not a good idea in the long run?)
  • Mediavine (doesn't accept crypto blogs at the moment)
  • AdThrive (will apply at 100K pageviews / month)
  • Coinzilla (works, but low rpm)

What's your experience if you run a crypto blog? How do you monetize it?
Also, what can one expect from a crypto blog on AdThrive in 2023 if you got around 100K pageviews / month?

Thanks!

try reaching out to companies in the crypto industry for sponsored posts or partnerships.

Create a resource page and list all payment gateway and steps to transfer funds including your affiliate links or you can build your own crypto digital assets that you can sell. Third, you can become a currency exchanger, transfer funds for those who are not able to send for a small commission. Your blog can do magical things

Thanks! How do you become a currency exchanger?

Thanks! How do you become a currency exchanger?
I am not a currency exchanger, but I heard many people doing this, they act as a payment system for those who are not able to transfer funds from one wallet to another, currency exchangers simply use their wallets or network to park funds into the desired account and charge their nominal fee.

Affiliate marketing will give highest returns on this type of blog. Direct ads like adsense will also become profitable as CPC will be high.

You will get the best return if you create your own product around the niche. Being some tools, insightful information or other useful things for crypto users. For start, you have created the blog whish is a good first step.

There are several ways to monetize a crypto blog, including:

  1. Cryptocurrency affiliate marketing: You can promote cryptocurrency exchanges, wallet providers, and other services related to the industry and earn a commission for every person who signs up through your affiliate link.

  2. Sponsored content: Many companies in the cryptocurrency space are willing to pay for sponsored content on reputable blogs. You can write reviews or articles about their products and services and charge a fee for featuring them on your blog.

  3. Display ads: You can display targeted ads on your blog, such as Google Adsense, and earn revenue based on clicks and impressions.

  4. Donations: If you have a large and engaged audience, you can accept donations in cryptocurrency or fiat currency to support your blog and its content.

  5. Paid subscriptions: You can offer premium content or access to a community of cryptocurrency enthusiasts for a monthly or yearly fee.

crypto guest posts
That's the best way if you have the SEO metrics and traffic that people look for most often.
Money comes directly into your pocket no partner network, no shaving tension.

You can also try something like a-ads, can't vouch for them as it's been 4 years since I last used them.
They were decent while I was using them on my sites.
There must be alternative networks too just look for them.

The best way to monetize a crypto blog is to basically chill.

As you probably already know, there are tons of crypto companies out there.

Lots of NFT projects.

Of course, the industry has been going through a downturn recently, but they're still popping up.

If you have managed to develop a solid brand in the crypto space and your blog has a mailing list, you might want to CONSIDER APPROACHING SOME OF THESE PROJECTS AND GET PAID.

Basically, getting started is the hardest part because you are an unknown player.

But once you are able to participate in launching a few projects, you can refer to those experiences when approaching new crypto projects.

It becomes easier over time because now people can see you've helped launch previous projects and that you are a legit player.

It also helps to show traffic stats as well as the actual level of participation your community has in new crypto launches.

Do you think it's better to go with a crypto ad-network than with Ezoic or AdThrive?

There are several ways to monetize a crypto blog. Here are some of the most effective ways:
  1. Affiliate marketing: You can join affiliate programs of crypto exchanges, trading platforms, wallets, and other services and promote them through your blog using affiliate links. You earn a commission for each user who signs up or makes a purchase through your affiliate link.
  2. Advertising: You can display ads on your blog and earn revenue through pay-per-click or impression-based advertising. Crypto-related advertising networks such as Coinzilla and Bitmedia can help you monetize your blog with relevant ads.
  3. Sponsored content: You can work with crypto companies and publish sponsored posts or reviews on your blog. This is a great way to earn revenue while providing valuable content to your readers.
  4. Product sales: You can sell your own digital products such as e-books, courses, or membership programs related to cryptocurrencies. This allows you to monetize your expertise and knowledge in the crypto space.
  5. Donations: You can enable cryptocurrency donations on your blog using services like BitPay or Coinbase Commerce. If your content provides value to your readers, they may be willing to support you through donations.
It is important to choose a monetization strategy that aligns with your audience and the goals of your blog. A combination of these monetization methods can also be effective in generating revenue from your crypto blog.

100k visits a month ? How old is your blog ? Do you write the content your self or automated ?

As others have mentioned. Gues posts + Affiliate is the best way in my opinion.
