After being scammed last year, I've decided to learn SEO, any recommendations on the best way to learn and how long it will take to be able to rank low competition keywords?

post useful content and look for free sites that share useful info and have a natural organic link velocity

mainly blogs which doens't sell anything. and udemy maybe?

You may simple start reading the important threads on BHW, there is so much information available here so if you take your time you can easely learn how to SEO your website and where to find the right links to get ranket.

Ther are many threads starting for instant like: Are web 2.0 good for ranking, what are the most important places to get links from and so on, there you actually find urls where you can get links from.

So there is this good read http://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/the-ultimate-guide-to-ranking-a-website-without-building-backlinks.748366/

Find a low comp keyword, find a good couple LSI's for it and make a web2.0 for the LSI's. Learn how to rank, learn how to build good basics links, build some lower tiers to it. If you fail and can't move it up the serps, rework the blog, recheck the keywords, keep trying.
Once you succeed, take what you've learned a build a website for that low comp keyword and then...bam, you have a strong backlink to put at it and know how to build other strong backlinks.

Or do like I did, buy a couple sites on sale and try things on a domain. Get them deindexed, learn how to recover one. Fail at keywords and try again. Buy some low comp keywords and build from there. Read more. Keep testing, trying and failing. Eventually you'll figure out what works.

Really, you can read all you want, but without doing it, in SEO, you'll go no where.

There are plenty of thread's here to learn SEO. Also, there are lot of tutorials available on web.

Pick one what would be easy to understand and go for testing.

Best Wishes - BB

Take a look at hole forum completely and build your own site with quality content and back links.
Get back links from authority site that should not contain any spammy links and it will take sometime to rank your site.
Focusing on low competitive keyword is the best way to rank your site soon and make sure you have done a proper keyword research based on your niche.
Focus on more social media sites which will help for promoting your site.

I do a combination of things. Reading here on bhw, reading blogs by the guys I like, a lot ... A LOT of google for terms or things I don't know , youtube , haven't used udemy but might - basically the hardest part is shifting though all the bullshit. At first its a little hard to tell what is bs or not but as you learn more and more you will know where to look. Learning will gain momentum. Keep at it and it will snowball.

My first advice is to not google just read articles published here. You will not find better SEO content on the web than here.
Second PM me your skype we will talk and I will help you.

This forum is a great start, and then try for your self, you always learn most by testing. Trials and errors :)

Of course Black Hat World forum. You can search for threads that relate with SEO, what ever it may be can see in the display. Not one answer but more than one result for a thread you got and clear your doubts on SEO.

Try to read some quality stuff on BHW and other authoritative sites (like MOZ).
Good luck on the journey.

Google it.
There are lot more learning sites available.
See the SEO related videos.
After that you have doubts in that means you can get clarification in the BHW.

Change things a little and measure a lot. Pretty much do monthly iterations... anything faster than that is not giving google time to process your changes. Track SEO attributed revenue. It is the only way to know with certainty that you aren't wasting your time and money. Diversify your marketing so Google can't turn your business off. All SEO advice is bullshit until you can prove it for yourself. Prove things yourself. The only results that count are reproducible results.

Start there and you will do just fine.! :)
