Why would you want to fake traffic metrics?? Just be active on a few related forums and social media sites with the site in your signature, and you'll get real hits! How long will you keep buying? My 2 cents.

I guess I just assumed that if Google sees a fair amount of link building and stuff all traffic that it would consider it unnatural. Wouldn't a natural signal be increased traffic along with the increased back links ?

How long ? Fake it till you make it!

@rankgeek: there's lots of reasons to fake traffic.. and with traffic bots you are not getting the same volume of traffic as building 2-3 links on facebook and twitter and a signature link on your profile.
