Best way to get a professional logo (design contest?)

Hey guys, Looking to get a professional logo for my website / social accounts. Not interested in no $5 Fiverr asset flip. I like the idea of a design contest so I get lots of choices but $300 seems like a lot of money. Any suggestions on where to get a solid logo for a fair price

Maybe just pay a designer the right price?
I've gotten great logos for $20-50 dollars that I have then flipped for $500, so quality/price is there if you know where to look

I used upwork some years ago, you just do a listing saying you pay per hour and you'll find some good cheap designers and the price won't be over $50

Contact the designer and ask the price for a conceptualized logo. I think you are referring to a logo behind a story and most of them usually comes at a higher price range.

Definitely under $300 you're not aiming for something unique, unless you take them as a base and tweak them yourself.
