So which is the best way or the only way that you could generate revenue from FaceBook, "Fan" pages or "Group" pages? So if anyone could let me know that would be great. Thanks!

pages are the best. groups are easy to use, so are pages though i guess, groups more so though. the norm is just pages I guess, depends on what marketing strategies you are thinking of using and if you have pva or non pva accounts.
