best way to gain active followers?

ok so on my account i am following 2k in a day , and only getting less than 800 follow backs per day , some follow later in a week .( main account) i follow a users followers if they show up on the discover page with a good amount of retweets.

is there any way to find and follow only active accounts?

# follow for follow ,but still you might gain 10followers a day , best thing would be to get a s/o from a big guy who was a lot of followers
 
You're already doing pretty good with 800 followbacks. Check out the imacro scrips for favoriting here on BHW. It's another source to get active followers as well
 
Use Tweepi. With it, you follow followers who recently active on Twitter in less than 24 hours.
 
I use Justunfollow premium to follow active twitter users who are likely to follow back. Can you please share how you bypass the 1k daily follow limit?
 
I follow 2,700 per day on average, it depends totally on your account, Use Manageflitter.com search for followers of an account, Click Activity, and follow back who tweeted in the last few seconds or minutes, I follow 2k+ per day and get 600-800 follow backs so thats a good rate.
 
I use TweetUp it is cheap for lifetime and it has so many features.
You can follow by keyword(hashtag) or follow the followers of another user in your niche.
You can also unfollow all or unfollow those who don't follow you back.
It has literally all the features some of the users mentioned above just in an all in one package.
 
Twitter has a written limit of 1000 per day. Anytime I hit this mark my account is temporarily blocked. Are you bypassing the 1k mark? if so how?

I have experimented with following at different interval using bots and am unable to get past 1000 per 24 hour.

You're following 2k per day but the follow limit is 700.. You're either about to be banned or you found an exploit you should share with us ;)

i just follow 1000 using my android , then follow 1000 using my iphone . Idk why it works on my main account but not on my other accounts , sometimes i can follow 2k at 10am and at 5pm i can follow 2k more , works sometimes idk why . i doubt its an exploit
 
I would look for an imacro that automatically favorites tweets if the 800 followbacks aren't enough for you. A simple google search should lead you to one
