I am now working as a software developer in some SAAS startups, making around 4k/month, and wanted to start something on the side for some
time and maybe after some time to let 9-5 job if they don't offer me shares or something.
I wanted to ask the BHW community for ideas.

Since you are a software developer and considering that software developers are always in demand, the best idea for you to start something on the side would be software development.

Create your own SAAS, find people you can cooperate for your own company.
work twice as hard for few year than enjoy your time more.
