The best way to drive traffic that I can think of is to DELIVER ON SEARCH INTENT.
Back in the day, I was really big on the value of backlinks as well as keyword sniping.
Fast forward a few years, and I pretty much set all that aside.
Now, I focus on USING KEYWORDS TO SET UP AN EXPERIENCE.
I was able to finally wrap my head around the fact that people use certain keywords instead of others for a reason.
There is an intent behind a certain keyword selection decision.
If I create content that truly delivers on that intent, Google will eventually reward me.
Of course this doesn't happen overnight, but eventually, they will reward me because I delivered a solid experience to their users.
Of course, a lot of this also has to do with formatting the content correctly, making sure that the content is comprehensive and cannot be easily found in the same exact form from a dozen other websites.
So there are other things that you need to pay attention to when it comes to content optimizations, but at the end of the day, it's all about delivering on search intent.
That's why I was able to grow a fairly decent-sized network of blogs with zero backlinks and I'm building another blog network as we speak.
It can be done.
You just have to be patient and, most importantly, YOU HAVE TO HAVE A PLAN COMING IN.
