    Hi guys,

    I am starting a wordpress site where I review lots of different products all belonging to one niche. On the menu, I want to have different categories of these products, for example 'books' 'dvd's' 'cd's' 'music' etc. I have about 10 categories in total. When you click on one of these, I want it to open a page showing the products, and when clicked on one of those it goes to that product page.

    My question is regarding the menu. I have created a page for each category to place the products on. However, these show up on the menu and are crowded and disorganized due to there being so many of them. How can I arrange these in a menu that they are neat, tidy and appealing?

    Many of the categories could be lumped together into a larger category, for example, dvds, cds, and music, could all be lumped together into Multimedia. This would save room on the menu, which I would love to be drop-down. The problem is I have no idea how to do this!!

    Please somebody point me in the right direction! Thanks!!

    Use parent / child / grandchild categories. It's available in the category setup.

    Thus, Multimedia --> CD's --> 1990's --> Nirvana.

    Multimedia --> DVD's --> Stolen --> From Blockbuster --> When Harry Met Sally.

    Just select the parent, and go from there.

    Okay. So I don't actually create any pages, just posts, right? So I create a post about When Harry Met Sally, put it in the correct categories.. I have done what you suggested, but about the drop down menu's.. do I need a theme that has this especially? Or is there a plugin I can get for any theme.

    I put just the parent categories in the main menu. How do they then proceed to the child categories? Would a drop down menu accomplish this?

    As far as theme, some allow drop downs, some aren't coded for them. But as long as you're using a relatively recent theme, it should do it. Look in the DL section for some review-style themes.

    And for the second part, yes, drop down menu would accomplish what you want.
