actually thats sounds good, i might try something like that....
Get a girl to act in the video. She talks to to her boyfriend and is so pissed off him that she smashes it on the wall and starts jumping on the iphone abusing him. At the end, write a message like: "Pissed off of your ex?? We'll find you a new" and then ad link to some dating offer.....thats all....
Thing to take care: THE GIRL MUST OVER REACT! THAT WILL FETCH YOU TRAFFIC

Standard garden pot with hold in the bottom placed directly on the phone over the ground.
It will burn a hole right through it. And probably rather far down into the ground. Might want to check the location of gas lines....

Give it a dirty look. It will feel ashamed and die on its own.... poor guy (your cell phone). I don't know what wrong it did in life to get brutally slammed like this... lol

shoot the iphone with a bullet and capture the bullet striking with the iphone with a very high speed camera, it can surely go viral like that.

Shooting iPhone would be nice video but there are already few iPhone smashed on the net.
Why don't you put a lil twist on it e.g. "iPhone = Kevlar?" or "iPhone 5 can save your life in event of mass shoot out"
Show some experiment with high fps video camera and show how durable the iPhone is against bullet.
It never too late to hope on the shooting incident event lately.
Crowd love some weird news nowadays and prolly someone from Apple might call for marketing consultation later.
