Best way to create a subreddit?

What is the most effective method for creating a subreddit for parasite SEO?
A few weeks ago, I created a subreddit and recently posted a single article that was indexed. However, the subreddit was swiftly banned with the reason cited as "this subreddit was banned due to being used for spam.

What did I do wrong here? And what would be the optimal strategy to circumvent such actions?
Perhaps I should have inserted the link into the post several days after posting?

Most likely that some links/strings in your article are flagged by reddit.

Are your accounts new with no history?

I would say putting link in your first post triggered spam filter to kick in.

Get an year old account.
comment in any trending subreddit posts.
1 day after posting comments, create a subreddit.
Leave it for 24 hours. Create post in that subreddit. I don't think you will get banned. (Tried and tested)

Account is old with good comment and post karma.

That's exactly what I did, still the subreddit got banned. Which Is why I'm unsure what I did wrong, perhaps I should have edited in the link to my post at a later date?
