Best way to create a sitemap. Polylang recommended?

I got a Wordpress website in English example.org .

Could you please recommend a good way or tutorial to set a proper sitemap to create categories editing the website addresses?
I want to create example.org/sports then it will contain links to:
example.org/sports/baseball
example.org/sports/boxing
example.org/sports/football

Moreover, I'd like to create the site in another languages:
example.org/es
example.org/fr
Etc. for more languages.

Is Polylang plugin for Wordpress good for this? My budget is limited.

Any standard seo plugin (yoast, rank math, seopress) will create your sitemap as you need. Most of them are compatible with pilylang too.

Yes, Polylang it's fine. I don't like very much the UI but i think its the simplier. WPML it's worse in that aspect.

You can also build your own language version using Custom Post Type. I'm doing it with the help of ChatGPT. But its takes a lot of time and you need to know what you are doing to make it SEO ootimized.
