Best way to contact affiliates?

A couple months ago I started working on doing follow ups with all of my CJ contacts who are currently marketing my product for me and I have around 3,000+ in the group, but I want to see if anyone has any advice on what to write or a good place to start with contacting them to basically let them know how they could make changes to their site for us and include an additional link to a sister site of the business they are currently promoting.

We get these emails from merchants every day. To be honest, I just don't have the time to read that stuff, unless it's from a merchant I'm already making money with.

I would focus on the affiliates that are already earning, and offer them something in return for doing what you want. Better commission, for example.

Your absolutely right and thats what I was afraid of. I know a lot of people were saying when emails come in through CJ a majority of the time its nonsense so they are rarely opened or even checked out. Thanks for the tip!

Get a performance based commission model.

IE:
Start at 6%
Get 25+ sales, 8%
Get 75+ sales, 10%
Get 150+ sales, 12%


I read this in a blog and a merchant who put this in place seen affiliates sales 100% up within a single month.
