Hey I'm looking to find out where to get a good vps. Anyone who uses vps please share your experience with your provider. And ubuntu vs windows vps?
Thanks a bunch, guys.

Check serverhosh Vps packages using them from a very long time.
No issues yet.
And Windows VS Ubuntu that you need to decide.

Cheers

You can refer BHW URL: http://www.blackhatworld.com/forums/hosting.196/ for more details about the hot deals. Selection between the Windows and shared server is depends on your hosting need. Your site is PHP based or ASP.NET. If it's php based go for linux hosting and if it's ASP.NET based then go for Windows hosting. In windows server you can also host PHP based site but I would suggest you to host in linux server.

@dasse we accept any challenge :)

Now back to OP question.

Windows VPS is used more for RD , ASP.NET and SEO tools that runs only on Windows . However Windows Servers are NOT recommended for website hosting (not that they can't do the job , but are not that secure and stable as Linux based OS).

Ubuntu & CentOS are your best friends for Web server.

Let me know your preferred location.
We can provide you 3.4CPU cores full SSD, DDR3 RAM, 200Mbps premium international bandwidth and 500Gbps DDOS protection. Linux Based
Semi-managed and full managed solutions available.

Thanks a bunch for all the help, everybody

The best VPS deals are available form hostsailor.com and veeble.org.
They have active support which helps much in setting up a server and in fixing any other issues if they occur.

I've been using a 4GB Greencloud Windows VPS for 3 months now. No issues whatsoever. Give them a try.

I would suggest vultr and digitalocean, they're both good and have many datacenter around the world, it's suitable almost for your business :)

Have been using VPSGet.com for a half-year for now and had no issues, they are properly optimized for great performance, stability is high and have free managed support that is truly good for beginners.
