i just got cyberlink powerdirector, i am kinda disappointed, the templates, effects and frames are so girly, more for casual stuff like weddings and birthday. I have heard about sony vegas pro capabilities, but the learning curve is long. will check it out.

I have used both Premiere and Sony Vegas. Vegas is easier to use with a reduced learning curve.

I use Pro Show Producer, and if I remember correctly, it's in the download section... Very easy to use too.

    Actually, here is the link!

Hi guys, I'm and absolute beginner in video editing. I have widows 8 and xp platforms. I am looking to edit my daughter's soccer games for on line sportworx and gotsoccer. I am looking for something user friendly that also does audio. I was given an advice from a friend of mine to purchase the Adobe Premiere Elements but it's a little expensive to me. Could you advice some other software with similar functionalities but at lower price. I have read a review for Pinnacle Studio 16 which seems good enough buton a quite lower price (about $60). What would you advice?

Sony Vegas or Adobe After Effects. Both are great to use for many different situations, and you can find a lot of tutorials and guides anywhere on the web. Hope this helps!
