What is better for Google:

1. site.com/category/post-name/
2. site.com/post-name/

Proofs are welcome

It depends on your site. If it's just a basic amazon affiliate site with one niche then /post-name is fine, but if you have a news or authority site posting across various niches / subtopics it's probably best to go with /category/post-name.
