All depend of your audience.
For example: if your targeting women - Pinterest will be very effective.
The trick is to choose the correct audience, what not always is possible - and where you can target it better - effectivity will be higher.
For mentioned reason, I prefer Twitter - where you can target your audience at single site level - of course site of competitor

Fb group posts & Fb ads are really juicy. The swipe up link in IG does work great for selling merchs.
