Best tool for learning code

Whats the community consensus on the best learning resource? I would be willing to pay a monthly premium if it were good.

Treehouse
Code academy
MIT courseware
ect.....?

i also would like to know, ive heard good things about treehouse

I'm in the middle of taking some python courses on Udemy, they seem decent.

Learning takes time reading dedicated forums and youtube videos and tutorial websites and upto date books are best.

udemy video courses are good aswell ..

sometimes find great training video on ebay.

programming take years to do , i been programming over 10 years still dont no everythink
But can say mastering a programming program takes time And many years.

you can not rush programming as it chages with version as time go on so it best
to study it properly and slowly.

You can get 24hr books but there to get a felling to the programming language there self.

i find programming frustrating know and do internet marketing it easer and much more money.

the same courses have been posted on torrent websites well some have been there so many but
i like paying for mine help the creators...

ps. Afther getting to no your programming language goto the programming website and try to learn there manual ,it will help in your success, a programming manual seems scary at first, but as you get into your chosen language your understand it.

always remember books that are published are out dated as there sold
there always a update in programming so the manual is your best friend.

I would just like to be able to adjust the code for scrapers and bots to get it to do what I want. I have 0 understanding, currently, of how this works. Also to just get a better grasp on the basics to make myself more efficient at web marketing as well.

Your best resource is your mind and lots of practice. Your secondary source, outside of Google, depends on how you best learn. Some people learn by watching videos, others learn best by reading.

In programming schools the emphasis is on algorithms. In the real world there is a greater reliance on libraries rather than roll you own code. However, you should still know how to roll your own structures, trees, sorts, etc. because libraries are often deficient in doing exactly what you want to do.

You need to set yourself up a good IDE/Compiler environment where you can re-compile at the press of a button and test. And get a good book.

Most learning comes from playing, testing, recompiling etc.


This is how i learned many years ago... i had visual studio set up on my computer and i had a C++ book

I dont want to put a downer on what you want to do. But what you are asking to do there (modify existing "bots") is usually harder than writing the bot yourself (unless you are talking about php scripts and what not).

I took a look to codecademy a while ago. The friend of mine was going to learn Python and he asked about my opinion. I tried some of their interactive lessons and I believe it's a very good tool to learn. Not sure, but as far as I recall it was free.

Code academy is best for me.

Treehouse is the fucking bomb. I've used it to brush up on my HTML/CSS, and I'm currently learning SQL queries and such. Next up is PHP and JavaScript, then on to Python. The options there are endless, and you get video tutorials to guide you every step of the way. Totally worth $25/month.

I've found that codeacademy had taken me further than anything else. I used the knowledge that I learn off of CodeAcademy's tutorial based/application system (they really explain everything) and applied it, which in turn, helped me learn more and grow as a programmer.

Treehouse is for that, too. They offer more languages, but CodeAcademy is free.

To fully understanding self adaptation with coding you'd have to learn the hard way by using free sources like YouTube or applicable means (saying with visuals so you can relinquish your mind.)

Other than that, there is no way to learn entire languages with payable options, so if you're into it start digging until you find your hole.
