Best tool for expiring domains and dropcatching?

I've heard some folks praise domainhuntergatherer and register compass, but I don't know how good they are cause I've not toyed with finding expired domains yet.

But I'd love to know other people's suggestions :)

For expired domains you will probably do best with Domcop. It's basically a database. If you want a scraper, then go with Domain Hunter Gatherer.

I am no longer scraping domains for example. It's easier to just get a list of all domains ever registered, or registered during certain periods. Then you can filter those out based on availability.

Regarding dropcatching, then definitely Desktop Catcher. I used it, it does what it's supposed to do and does it well. I believe they have made some changes recently, so do check it out.

Still, I don't think there's any other publicly accessible tool for dropcatching. Can be custom coded quite easily, but keep in mind, you will never catch anything that's worth much.

You are competing against big companies that do this for a living.

Thanks, Nargil, you are the best in this!

Do you have some escort domains in stock? I guess not, as most are spammed to death, but asking anyway :).

Pleasure.

And you have answered the question yourself. Those domains are just pure spam, there's no way to tell whether they are toxic or penalized etc.

Considering how spammy that niche is, I would go with whatever and wouldn't bother myself with relevancy much.

Ok, thanks for advice! Appreciate it

I am keeping an eye on expiring domains in the escort niche with a TF of minimum 15 and a spam score below 5. Of course I check referring domains and anchors as well. Mostly it is a needle in haystack, but a few times a year I find a domain in the escort that looks pretty safe to me for a 301 redirect.

However, I am still scared as I worked a long time on my money site and I do not want to get penalized.
My money site is +3 years old and I created a clean backlink profile manually and have a DA 40 now.

What is your advice on these 301 redirects? I am planning not to do more than 3, in absolutely the same niche and low spam score. Is it safe?

I do not mind to pay for your help and advice!
Please DM and maybe we can help each other!

Thanks so much!

We are getting off topic a bit, but I will share the info here for others as well.

First of all, in spammy niches, the TF is rarely high. It's a topical flow, it doesn't really quantify the strength of the domain. It just tells you how niche relevant is that domain within that particular niche.

Thus, considering that escort domains have links from everywhere, the TF will be much lower on average. You can easily go as low as 10 or less, it's not about that after all. DR from Ahres will serve you better for these purposes.

Also, spam score... just don't use that crap. It has no basis in reality and is completely useless. Especially if you are trying to determine whether the domain is penalized or not.

Regarding the redirects, I am not sure how strong domains you are using really. I would not bother with anything below 200 RD, especially because it's not a good idea to overdo it with redirects.

But then again, your niche is so spammy, that the spam tolerance is much much higher and your site can take more abuse.

Ok, got it :). Will keep your advice in mind!

I am not planning to do more than 3 super relevant niche redirects to my escort site, with a minimum 200 RD in ahrefs as you suggest. Of course, it is a process over years to find these domains. I have time and I am dedicated, though cautious as well :)!

Thanks again for your help AGAIN!!!
