Best tips to lower Facebook Ads CPC?

I have not had too much experience on FB ads until a couple months ago, and saw a better (and definitely cheaper) conversion rate than Google Ads.
For those who have been doing FB ads (successfully) for a long time, could you help to share some tips to lower FB Ads CPC?
I have heard some people claim that they could get the clicks down to pennies, is this even possible?
My most successful FB ads campaign cpc so far is only 10c lower than its initial cpc.

It depends what you wish to achieve. I have plenty of penny campaigns but they're only good for specific goals.

On the whole I'm starting to love Facebook ads more than Adwords, but the audiences behave very differently.

High CTR = Low Effective CPC

Tips:

1. Just test a lot of images!
2. Kill the images with low conversion rates
3. Make sure people love your ads! Lots of interaction = better ad reach!

It's all built into their algorithm.
