So long story short, I got a Bing ads $100 coupon and managed to add it to a Bing account. So I have $100 to spend. Hooray.

I've never done any advertising before, so I'm a total noob. However if I'm not mistaken, if you go for long term keywords, they have less competition, so you can get cheaper clicks. Maybe I'm talking out of my ass though, I really have no idea how it works.

What's the best way to most effectively use my $100 credit? I want to promote a website where I sell social media services... does Bing ads accept websites that sell social media services?

there is a great post in the jr vip section by @Toz about how to set up a bing campaign, you should read that first.

You say this and you don't serve me the link to the thread on a silver platter? How dare you sir!!!

haha just kidding. Thanks bro, I'll look it up :D

I'm just as lazy as you are dear kind bro!
My plan is to run CPA offers. How do I send traffic on my offer landing page without getting Bing ads account banned?
Some people say that Bing allows direct linking and some says a squeeze page is required. I'm confused.

So I went through the tutorial and created an ad.

It was quickly disapproved.

Reasons:

Potential counterfeit content
Intellectual property content

Awesome.

I wanted to promote a website that sells social media services.

So there's nothing new under the sun. You make a move, you get banned/suspended/disapproved, then you dick around with it.

Spamming beats all this other shit :D

So I'm looking at "Ads & Extensions". I deleted my disapproved ad.

I made another one for a different site. Then I created another one for a different site. Then I created another one, a retarded one. But nothing, nothing appears in "Ads & Extensions" section. I can't find the newly created ads anywhere.

This is ridiculous.

Any why the fuck does the "Notification" area have a red dot on it at all times? THAT IS NOT HOW A NOTIFICATIONS BUTTON WORKS!

A red dot or whatever appears if there are actually new notifications. But if I click it and see the notifications, the red dot or whatever should go away. Why is the red dot there constantly?

I'm hating bing ads so far. And their interface sucks balls. The people that created the bing ads interface and the 2checkout interface should get in bed and fuck themselves to death.

I switched to their old theme, and it's a little better. At least I can find my way around now a little better and it's not giving me brain cancer.

I've been using Bing ads to promote SMM services for over 2 years without problems, maybe your keywords are bad?

I initially put in about 60 keywords, and they disapproved about 10 of them. I removed those.

My ad was also disapproved. I was trying to promote a website that sells social media services (not an smm panel).

So I created another ad for another website that also sells social media services (not an smm panel). This one seems to be eligible.

Then I created another ad, this one for an smm panel. It was disapproved.

So now I guess I have eligible keywords and an eligible ad, and I guess it should be live. But, how would I know if it's live? I didn't get any notification or email informing me that my ad is live. I don't see how I can check whether my ad is live or not. Maybe it's in review process? I don't know.

In the "Ads" tab under campaign you will see your Ads, they are now "Under review", when they get approved it will change :P

Can I bother you for a screenshot of where this "Under review" text can be found?

I looked everywhere. All I see is "Eligible," which doesn't tell me dick about whether my campaign is live or not.

I'm glad someone mentioned it. The new UI is so unusable to the point where I'd rather explore different ad networks than suffer through that torment.

And I'm not saying it as someone who ever used Bing ads in the past. So it's not like I'm used to their old theme and I'm finding it hard to adapt to the change.

My opinion is completely objective. I started using bing ads today, and it was on the latest theme. It was a painful process.

Then as I was about to log out and stop for today, I saw the option to switch to the old theme, so I did it, and things made a little more sense. The old theme is better in my opinion.

Well, it seems I have 2 ads running. I have gotten 13 impressions since yesterday, and 0 clicks.

I'm not advertising the website I wanted. The site I am advertising is my least successful site.

Also, I've set it at max $5 spent per day. But I'm not sure if I set what would be my max pay per click I am willing to pay. I'm not sure if that's an option. And even if it is, I'm wouldn't be sure what to set anyway.

Anyway, bing ads are dumb, I'm going to do some spamming and feel better :p

So I think my ad is running. I made 2 sales from new customers on that website.

One of them didn't show in my analytics (statcounter). But the other one shows "search.yahoo.com" as entry.

I don't know if it's maybe organic yahoo search or the bing ads. I think it's bing ads, that website I'm advertising doesn't have anything on it to rank for :p

Well, that's $12 + 2 sales, minus Paypal fees, baby stuff, but proof of concept... assuming the clients came from the bing ads.

Mmmhhh...

I'm gonna login to my Bing ads account tomorrow and see what's happening in there and report.

Edit: both sales were for the service I was advertising by the way. Another reason I believe both came from the bing ads. I have like 100 different products on that website/page, and about 6 of them are for the service I'm pushing with the bing ads (title + description + keywords). Both sales came for some of those 6 options. Another thing that leads me to think the customers came from the bing ads.
