Be gentle, I'm new here ;)

Any suggestions for the best submit software for

    - articles?
    -search engines?
    -posts?
    - directories?

Is there any point anyway? No, I'm not being thick - most will not have much page rank and most will not be relevant. Still, I guess some will hit their mark.

As for article directories - are we relying on the rank of the directory page, or are we hoping that the links will make it to loads of relevant pages?

Thanks for your help folks, and keep up the fantastic work :)

You know everyone will have a different opinion about this

Articles submissions software can be expensive like Article Robot or Article Submission Gold

Search Enigine submissions WebCEO , SEOELITE

    Directories - Directory Submitter Gold

Posts? You mean like Xrumer or Foroum Poster

Some you can "acquire" for free if you look hard enough.

I have used all the above and they all work to some degree, you need to be careful the posts and search engine submission software can do you more harm than good if used incorrectly

    Straybullet...

by more harm than good, presumably you mean if you spam the directories/engines? Or that the package isn't sophisticated enough to submit to correct categories?

Thanks for advice - any specific words of warning regarding the products you mentioned?

best way for se submission is just to build a ton of links and let them find it themselves, start with dropping the domain onto everything on http://www.caroline-middlebrook.com/blog/do-follow-social-bookmarking-sites/ listed there and then use http://www.bluehatseo.com/quit-quick-indexing-tool/ to get google baited and indexing and then i would generally use webceo to submit to other search engines if you had to have it submitted

Yes exactly what I meant, you need to be careful that the search engines don't see it's automated for some reason some don't like it. To be honest you really don't need search engine submitters like we use to. Its easier to get crawled now and quickly.

I use traffic seeker 8 to submit my sites to around 1 million engines, the report always states over 1 million but it only lists a few hundred so I'm not sure how it gets the 1 million figure.

I use trafficseeker 8 to submit my sites, it claims it submits to over 700.000 engines,
The report I get afterwards states that the figure is over 1 million but it only lists a few hundred on the actual report,
I'm not sure where the 1 million figure comes from, surely there isn't that many engines.

Seems to me that these are worthwhile exploiting to the full on expendable Blackhat sites, and used only occasionally on the painstakingly built Whitehat sites. Thanks to you all for your input. I already have SEO Elite, which has some good features besides submissions. Thinking about investing in Xrumer and Directory Submitter Gold. Traffic Seeker 8 - I know what you mean. Submission software seems to overstate its real reach.

You have to watch out for the submitter software, because a lot of times, you are getting your articles out to sites that no one gives a shit about

that isnt really of concern, if the articles link back to the main site, spam it to 1m sites if they are out there and let you post your link, its not just about getting actual visitors from it, getting a link is more than good enough to qualify posting it to their site

Ok but google seing 1m links back to your site at once prob isn't beneficial, and if you are getting links from pages that aren't indexed themselves, they dont really matter right?

"Traffic Slammer" is quite good and gets you automated replies back from most of the top search engines and directories to confirm your submission.
