Best Speed Wordpress Theme

All you guys preferring Astra and GeneratePress, do you run it together with Elementor or just a clean install of WordPress and the theme?
I think that has to be a factor to consider as well.

Either Blocksy theme or custom themes made with Oxygen Builder.
 
In regards to themes best choices in regards to performance are GeneratePress (if you´re not a developer), and Genesis Framework (if you´re a developer).

But, if you´re looking to build a custom theme from scratch and you don´t have any background in web development, I highly recommend you check Oxygen.
 
You can use generatepress, I use it
 
You can go for Best Hosting provider or use Cloudflare or Use WP-Rocket plugin for your site.

Any tips for optimisation with GP premium. I used it with some basic plugins (yoast, wp recent posts, smush, word fence, updraft) my side speed was appalling (38 google pagespeed).

Switched to Astra (93 google pagespeed).

Like what? This is not what I've researched so I am very confused on if I've missed something on using GP premium to the best of it's ability.
 
Thrive theme is better, However you have to clean the code which is not required in order to perform faster..
 
I have good experience with Astra pro, content berg, Networker themes. those themes are best SEO friendly and Speed optimized. but CDN and Cache plugin want to get best result. reality is can't get all from only themes. we have to do some optimtize in manually.

you can go with astra, generatepress and voice theme
 
I am using newspaper theme, its very fast tho. Good speed and optimised code, works well with gzip compression.
 
Kadence is a fast theme I recently found. It's also free

Totally agree. I use Hello Elementor on a few sites and it works really fast.

But yeah - if you don't use Elementor, then there's Astra, OceanWP and Neve. They're all okay in terms of performance I think
