Best source to learn and what to learn first? (Newbie SEO)

Hi guys,
I am starting to learn about SEO/SMM, I would like to know where/what is the best source (blogs/course) to learn SEO and what should I learn first?

Could someone make a path like Search Engine Working> On site > Link building or something like that?

I am a little lost here right now.

Totally agree with you. For a beginner is really hard to filter all of those information and properly learn by itself due to overload of information out there. I want to learn by myself. Just would like to someone more experienced give me some kind of path to make me at least know where to go and not get lost.

It seems like there has to be some kind of e-course out there.
 
I recommend you start with the sticky threads from each sub-forum on BHW.

And just stick around. Never pay for an online course when you can get knowledge for free.

As a newby, I recommend you learn as much as possible from BHW to develop your own BS filtering system (you'll need it in the IM game)
