Posting articles to the above diretories on a regular basis works well because;
1) You send a ton of targeted traffic (prospective customers) to your website/products/services
2) If you provide an anchor link with your keyword as the anchor text, you are building a backlink to your site therefore increasing the chances that your website will rank higher for that keyword

Ezine articles and Article base are the easiest to get accepted to, and usually the highest fastest ranking.
This information is appreciated. So when you sign up with these guys and are ready to submit an article, do you choose the category or do you just submit it and they work out the details? I am trying to figure out what kind of site it is. Basically just articles of all interests and Google treats in like an authority site? Something like Yahoo maybe?

It is fairly hard to get accepted in ezine articles. Though, articlesbase is pretty easy.
