Hey guys,

What are the better tools for tracking visitors to multiple sites? I have tried Google Analytics, and its not bad but I can't seem to get it working on some auto-blogs.
The webalizer that comes with cpanel sucks hard core. And downloading raw log files from that many sites is a huge pain.

What to you guys use to track users across multiple sites?

Kaizentrack does what you're asking i believe. It's good enough for what i use it for, i'll see if i have a copy.

Oh, wasn't as hard as i thought to find!

I believe AdTrackz also does this, but can't remember as currently use Kaizentrack on my sites. I have already uploaded AdTrackz to this site, but can't provide a link as the search function seems down the shitter at the moment.

Here's http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/member-downloads/5519-kaizentrack-roscoet.html#post50568, which i have just uploaded for you! A touch of rep wouldn't hurt if it's what you're looking for! ;)

Sorry if this is already here mods, search function doesn't appear to be working for me at the moment. :D

Thanks for that link. It seems a bit more than I need but very interesting.

Still looking for other options.

Anyone?

The one i uploaded does have alot of features and may seem overloaded and complex, but trust me, for simple tracking it's a piece of piss to set up. You simply add a page url, the request tracking code, copy and paste the code into your webpage and then works realtime. Tick the pages you wanna see results for and click update. Job done.

I used to have a sub domain with a little 1x1 pixel image that I would insert where needed, then just use that one sub domains stats to see what I wanted. I didn't use that sub for anything else, except the blank index page, and that is easy enough to disregard if someone hits it.

Just adding to the analytics side of the conversation where KaizenTrack was mentioned, I tested that and Split Test Accelerator and found the multi-variate understanding and user ability of split test accelerator far out classed KT and STA is very well supported, any7 thoughts from others?

Google analytic is ok for most people who do not want to invest.

But if you have the budget, take a look a webtrends or clicktracks, two first class programs.

Another alternative (cheaper) is hitslink.com

Do you think Analytics will tell G where all your sites are and get them de-ranked? Or do you only use them on sites that aren't using link farms, or other methods that are against G TOS? I mean what is the point of removing template footprints if you are going to use G's analytics program and broadcast that you own all those sites? Am I missing something?

I have been doing a lot of research on this topic, and the best FREE tool I found that can be installed on your service is hxxp://soft.zoneo.net/phpTrafficA/

i am using Google Analytics and it works fine with me. I would advise you to go for it. Or you can also go for phpistats.
