I don't know if I should use wordpress. Seems to heavy for something like this. It's going to have maybe 5 - 10 pages and not like a blog.

    [Box 1] [Box 2] [Box 3]
    [Box 4] [Box 5] [Box 6]

And so on. Each box will redirect to a page with just text amd no images. Soo back to the main question. Is this possible with wordpress? I have the html and css of a site I'm kinda talkng inspiration from for this.

If you are just planning on building a site and leaving it and not changing things often and keeping it updated then I would use php. I would not use wordpress just opening yourself up for the site to get hacked if you just set it and forget about it.

Just use WP it's not much heavy for your requirements. Or you can use blogger (no recommended) or WIX to build your site

If not build it pure html/php and host it in your own host

A static website contains Web pages with content that is static. ... Static sites would be the most elementary kind of website and will be the easiest to create.

I'll probbaly do the second option. Just not php, php isn't needed at all and if I had to do back-end i would do perl or ruby over php any day.
Abother reason. Their's no way to hack a site that's html + css other than assessing the server

WordPress had become bloated over the years imho, if you are doing a quickie, definitely php, smart as it will load lightning fast
