Best site just to purchase domain

I'm looking for a domain cheaply, i would like to buy 1 year, but might extend it to the next year so i don't want to use site like $1 for 1 year then super expensive for the rest.
any recommendation?

For .coms and free privacy for life.
Other option is Namecheap who do cheap domains for year one, standard renewals and also now offer free privacy.

Namesilo is showing $8.99. I used to use Godaddy and Bigrock (both are cheap only for the first year.) Currently using dynadot. Dynadot has recently increased to $8.99. They provide free privacy as well.

I am very sad now Namecheap dumped their Value hosting plan and now the price is "not that cheap lol"

ive always used namecheap
althought it seems like they arent the cheapest anymore.
their management portal is straightforward and easy to use

I was lucky in catching 1 and 1.com on a .99 domain reg sale. One of my favorite games to play is finding the GOOD domains that haven't been purchased yet. I did 'park' about 50 of them, during the sale. Hoping to flip some, but we'll see.
I do check NameCheap, 1 and 1, and GoDaddy everyday, just in case they have a sale again. I've got a list of good domains as long as my arm... just in waitin'.
