Best SHARED Hosting Provider (SEO Friendly)

First, I know my title is a Catch 22.

I am very aware that most (if not all) shared hosting is pretty anti-SEO, and that for maximum SEO benefit you should really have each domain on an individual IP.

But...

Since I don't want to spend an extra $2+ per domain each month YET, what is the best full hosting solution out there that is reliable and cheap?

Here are some things I want to note:

Hostgator - Not very good. They do not allow root acccess - meaning they do not let you setup an FTP account for a user to the root, like [email protected]. I need this.

Dreamhost - I've actually been with them for a long time as they used to be really cool. They allow root access, but at $10.95 per month, it's kind of overpriced now I think and the coolness factor is completely gone. lol

Bluehost - Claims they have @root access, and looks like it's $6.95 per month? The negative is you have to pay in advance, but that's not a problem for me.

I'm leaning toward switching to Bluehost, but wondering what you guys think and what else is out there?

I like features, automation, statistics, etc. and NEED root access.

I don't get what you're talking about need root access. If you need root access so buy at least vps, there are no shared hosting provider will allow you to access their root, it's just like giving your home key to the stranger.

Or maybe you mean ssh access? If yes dreamhost is providing ssh access, i have using it since 2008 for transfer and store my private data collection (of course for free with their past coupon code).

no one can provide you root access for shared hosting

for that you need vps or dedicated server

you can use SSH with shared hosting

So shell access then. Fine.

The point is, it needs to [email protected]. I am able to do this with Dreamhost.

ive been using hostgator for almost 3 years, i worked with almost 20 host providers, im sure hostgator is best of best.

Hostgator doesn't provide @hostgator.com access. You can only create users @yourdomain

dont use cirtex hosting if you want to put wordpress sites on there, wordpress sites do not work on cirtex hosting,
hostgator is ok, as long as you dont use a lot of bandwidth and as long as your sites are doing a lot of actions, or taking up a lot of resources, etc, otherwise the sites just disapear.

You want root access then grab yourself a VPS or a DEDICATED SERVER
