Hello! I've tried SnapNames and a german service DropCatcher -> both already have let go 3 nice high PR domains (domain catching unsuccessfull), so I'm getting desperate... What are the dropcatching services that you use and which have high % of succuss rate with PR2-7 domains? Thanks

i think NJ is good for catching domains

Try expired domain .net, it shows and filter results faster, you can catch new available registration domain every day.
From PR 1 up to PR 7.

Thanks guys, yes, I know moonsy, but they are auctions, which I didn't want to do. Maybe a combination of NJ and Snapnames will do. Or I will be forced to use auctions.. (but they seem kind of complicated with all those entry fees)

NJ = NameJet.com ... I also now registered in POOL dot com, and added 6 domains there. Strange thing is -> they are not listed there, but I've put them there anyway for backorder. Is that it? Just wait?

Oh, the NJ also is a new for me. Le's check what they offes:)

Trying to get hold of certain TLDs but it seems like they go to registrars first. Is it complicated to
become a registrar?

Namejet.com and Snapnames.com are best to backorder domains, you can bid on PR domains and brand domains, recently saw some good brand domains sold at namejet.

Unfortunately NJ do not list .DE domains... Man... I see every day domains signed to somebody else... Maybe I could just find out the owner and call him on the phone. If he decides to sell it to me directly, how will he transfer the domain? Via Godaddy? How is it done? Thanks

He can push the domain in your GD account. Or he can transfer it. simple

I can imagine that german drop catch services might have a speed advantage to US based ones due to server location.

As I bought a lot of domains for my website prnator domains.prnator.com

I have special conditions for backordering domains (using snapnames) , so I've just launched a service for backordering domains, please find here a description of the service: domains.prnator.com/index.php?p=backorders (you can test it it's risk free)

You got a spare 10-20k?

Seriously about half of them you can't get by any backorder service the other half are either public auctions like godaddy or private auctions like snapnames/namejet just find out who's taking the domains you want and backorder there if you can.

Just going to make this clear to you you're going to have to do auctions in nearly every single case if the domain is worth more then the backorder fee you're gonna be in a auction count on it.

I've always used namejet and never had an issue. Highly recommend.
