I have about 5000+ Sport related products in my shop, and i think that only the Keyword "Sport Shop" for the main domain very hard.

do all of your products have an own page? If yes then it would be difficult for SEO, this is too much, google dont like that kind of sites.

Choose one main niche of your shop, write or order 10-15 product reviews for the best products and add them to your site.

Try to find good keywords for this niche or for some of the products. if the main niche has good search volume then normally
its sub niches has some decent search volumes too.

If all your pages are unique, then there's no problem. Buy some high-quality backlinks from a sports related PBN network unless you have your own, or create and build web 2.0 properties for free that you manage.

Do you have any collection pages or category pages on site? It's better to put the efforts in those best converting brands/categories pages (passing link juice to all the product urls on that page).

You should only focus on the best products in your niche. Getting to SEO for all of the individual pages will be a tough job.

Easier start for ecommerce site:
First thing first you need deep keyword research finding the words that passed best to your keyword creating LSI, that people search for buying product. In the most cases such words are "price", "the best", all sizes (e.g. XXL), 2015, colors...

e.g. sporting shorts price, the best sporting shorts in 2015, yellow sporting shorts ....

Find which words like that cover best the niche and include them in titles or descriptions .... on all pages. This always increases the SERP and the number of visitors very fast.

Link the sitemap on the homepage and submit it on g00gle and bing webmasters tools.
Use GEO location - why not ranking in some region first. Much easier.
Create fanpage, twitter, g+ and link them on the homepage.
Create fans and followers (fake are OK) and get some trust.
Blast these social profiles with spam.
Create a blog on the site and optimize it for the best keywords. Than link the shop from the blog anchored with these keywords.
Live support is the must. Forum on the site is optional.
The mobile flexibility must be OK with no warnings - use g00gle's tool to check.

The hard part:
On-page SEO on each page, that is already ranked somewhere for something (WMT is OK for this).
Create backlinks - yes PBN is great, but bit risky today. Just try to create backlinks from relevant to the keywords domains. 1 such link per page is OK. Blast these links.
