Best semi auto way to build links

Here is what I did to get my site on the first page and #1 Spot:
Bought scrapebox:: $57
Sick Submitter: $19 a month
Freelancer for posting: 10c per post
1)I used SB to harvest about 3k blog list each day and blasted me site
2)Then used SB to harvest some VBulletin Forums
3)Used Sick Submitter to make my own packet
4)Used Sick Submitter to then use the profile and register on the forums
5)Get my freelancer to then post around 5-10 posts on each profile
6)Used Sick Submitter to:
Post my articles to websites [Packets on forum]
Post to directories [Packets on forum]
Social Bookmarking [Packets on forum]
7)Then made web 2.0 sites such as: Squidoo
I repeated "Step 1" everyday and did Steps 2-5 once a week and did "Step 6" once a month

Nice tips, how long did it take to reach #1 if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks, took me about a month, if you can't afford a freelancer just make about 5 posts to keep it alive
