Hi guys,I am looking for best security plugin for wordpress to save site from hackers blistering attacks, I have woocommerce store and using paypal as checkout option,What are the essentiel plugins that every wordpress website must have.?

I can recommend two plugins, they do the job in different ways, but a couple of features are present in both:

1. For general security use "All in one WP Security" - recommended settings: hide php files, redirect 404s and enumerated urls and hide wordpress urls.

2. For file scanning use "Wordfence"

So if I'm not misunderstanding, you're using both of them on the same site?

I would recommend you to use plugin that disable PHP upload and execution.

Two Plugins that disable PHP execution are Better WP Security and Wordfence. I usually prefer Better WP Security because it is user-friendly, provide numerous other security features.

PS: It is good to use security plugin once your site is completed and doesn't need any other plugin.

And here is was feeling bulletproof with only wordfence installed. Bulletproof might be an overstatement. Im getting ready to change my password everywhere... you have to assume one of the places that has it has been hacked and either doesent know it or just have not reported it yet.

Right now my site is earning nothing so not a big target probably. I now see I need to look into security a little more than I have. My website got hacked before and it was a terrible feeling. Really planning on making sure that does not happen again.

Is Better security is enough or i can use both Better WP and wordfence, what do you reckon??
