Having almost a decade experience in SEO, half of that time is solely using SEO Powersuite's Rank Tracker. What I like about that tool is that I am allowed unlimited keywords and can set on what time of the day the rankings would be refreshed. However, I think it's not that great if you don't have proxies where you can simply reuse on the tool (I usually have 200 - 300 semi-dedicated proxies in handy so I don't incur on proxy costs on this tool).
If you want web-based, I am currently satisfied with SERPMarker (the seller is part of the BHW community).

GSC - if you're looking to save money but you need to double check everything though, sometimes it's not accurate. You can try FATRANK it's also for free, but it's not automatic!

I recommend the SERP lab and serps.com... it gives me accurate data for KWposition.
