So I was just going through my huge bookmark collection, cleaning it a bit out, organizing and things like that and I found a folder labelled "RSS Tools" and this made me think. A few months back I read about a hundred threads from WF and BHW all discussing this and I tried out most of the tools. Some of them didn't work at all, some of them seemed to work but actually didn't and so on.

Finally I decided on one tool and have been using it since. The thing with this RSS stuff is that you should just pick something something that actually works, there was a piece of software called...RSS Submitter I think that a lot of people recommended to me but I soon found out that it didn't actually work. It said that it submits your feed to about a 100 directories but it did't actually do that.

Creating RSS feeds is a good practice in my opinion but there is no reason to submit a feed to hundreds of sites, a couple dozen are fine so the tool you're using should be straightforward, easy to use and actually work of course.

The tool I found that does this best is bulkping.com

The submitter wasn't actually the main thing I was looking for at the time, I wanted a tool that can actually create the feed easily so that I don't have to do it by hand and it did that very nicely as well.

Another RSS tool that I spent a long time looking for was something that would just add some random links to BMD. Most of you guys know that when you submit to sites with BMD or any other tool like that it is good practice to add some random links into the mix to camouflage your own sites and stay under the radar. The easiest tool to do this, that I have found is RSSMIX

Very simple tool to use, you just click on [ Click here to add 4 random feeds to the box above ] then click Create and copy the resulting RSS link into BMD or whatever software you're using.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

Here is another nifty little tool to convert links to RSS Links 2 RSS

Heh, I actually tested that one as well, but again I found BulkPing to be more straightforward for my needs. BUt it's definitely a good tool.

Hey xxtoni thanks for sharing a few of these tools that actually work, it's actually hard to find an RSS submitter that does what it says.

will this increase my feedburner subscribers?
