I'm thinking of starting to design affiliate webistes using google adsense etc. Which is the best route in learning web design to do this with? Are there any useful threads that could help?

Try a YouTube search 'how to build a niche site' -looks like there are a couple free tutorials there.

YouTube is a great place to start!

Google & youtube is best place to start. If you can pay for it then there are many websites out there who teach web designing.

If you have to start from scratch then you will either have to learn a lot to do on your own or hire others to do it. Depending on your age you may find it interesting to start a study in this area. However, as others have pointed out, you can learn a ton by googling.

I would just learn basic Wordpress first. If you know how to setup Wordpress then you pretty much can build any type of site you want, including niche sites. Check out Udemy for Wordpress courses.
