Best Proxy/Vpn Detection Service?

I am building a fraud protection system for my website and need a service/api that checks users IP to see if they use a proxy or VPN. Ive tried some of the free services I found on google but most of them seem to give different results a lot of the time.

Can anyone recommend me a good service with api free or paid?

You can configure api settings with various flags to decrease false positives.

It's really a decent service and I use them to find if my own IP's are not flagged ;)

I keep seeing mobile IP's getting 80-90 score on this site, but no other service detects it as a proxy or vpn. I doubt their service is so good that only they detect those IPs, would rather think it's false positives. Considering I haven't had any issues with advertisers either they should be legit.

I will look into the API settings tho, maybe that can help. But still open for other suggestions.

it might be beauce mobile ips gets rotated and before you, someone else abused them.

^ sorry, I did not paid attention when writing it, please ignore it.

So, to expand my answer,

4G Ip addresses get's rotated, sometimes even between cities, so if your visitors shows up such scores, it might be because the IP they used - got abused by a person who for example - sells proxy services.

That is why 4g proxies are elite, they are hard to ban just because of this.

Probably sites you used to check as alternative sources use way simpler detection methods, like just checking if that is a datacenter IP or so.

I've tested a lot of services and none of them are precise.

ipqualityscore were one of best so I just stick with them.

if it's mobile that doesn't mean it has to be clean, it's possible that someone else abused it
 
maybe the previous holder was a proxy provider or they got infected with a botnet, what I'm saying here is that ipquality score is accurate 95% of the time based on my long experience with them
 
And I agree what @MasonF said, when my bots gets an IP with score 50+, I rotate it away as I consider it as too abused.

You can and probably should consider more factors in detection, like checking user agents, etc of your visitors.

Or if you are building it as a service, then add an option to send in user agent to check it.
 
You could try posting in "Hire a freelance" and connect with a professional developer.

The best way to detect them is to monitor the information they send to their servers. This can be done using a tool like Wireshark which records all the data sent between your computer and the internet.
