Anyone use printers like vistaprint? I'm looking to make some flyers and rack cards but want to keep my prices down.

Anyone have experience with any printers - or ones you'd suggest?

I have used Vistaprint. They are not the cheapest, nor the quickest and their shipping prices can suck but the quality is pretty good. You can find discount codes all over the place so that helps.

vistaprint for me is a waste of space...

if your going to be getting a lot of printed materials try:

Code:
4over.com or zooprinting.com

they are both trade/wholesale orientated but you wont beat them for customer service, turnaround, quality of products and pricing if you can open an account with them... they both off excellent finishing features, including spot gloss, and metallic finishes :)

there is also

Code:
overnightprints.com

there like 2 or 3 times more expensive over these guys, quality control is questionable...

hth

I can vouch for Vistaprint too! They are great and they do all of my marketing flyers, etc.

seriously if you think vistaprint quality is good you will be freaking knocked out by what the other guys i mentioned can do

part of my business used to revolve around print/marketing before i forked the company and concentrated on internet marketing/seo and have tried and tested 10s if not 100 different print companies finding most use the same printers... finding out who the middle man is and cutting them out is the hardest part as well as the crap from the good hence why i mention those guys in my original post...

however vistaprint may have upgraded their quality/support in the past 18 months or outsource everything to the guys i mentioned... either way it would have to be a ten fold improvement from my past experience for me to ever use them or recommend them again...

I can vouch for overnight prints. I've used some joe blow places in the past before switching to them. I'll never use anyone else. I have had a couple of flakey jobs from them. A quick phone call to them and they reprinted and overnighted them to me (even though the original order wasn't overnight) no questions asked.

Don't know where in the world they deliver but the German company called print24.com is highly recommended by me, they have 24hour printing / delivery to UK and their prices are very reasonable. If you are buying something by the k or more you will be happy.

Quality is as good as you could expect from a professional printer.

P.S they have a great quoting system whereby you can get an instant quote without giving any personal details or anything like that so you know exactly how much you are paying including VAT and delivery and exactly the quality print / paper etc. I use them for all of my printing as they are quick, cheap and high quality.

if you are ordering regularly business cards then you will soon find
Code:
 overnightprints.com
to be very expensive

compare:
$50 + shipping for 15pt 4/4 business cards w/gloss from overnightprints
$24 + free shipping for 16pt 4/4 business cards w/gloss from 4over

if your doing really high volume like we where at the time - you would look at getting platinum membership access and you would then be getting the same cards for $17 + free shipping

if your reselling business cards like we used too then you can see why you would use 4over compared to anyone else

hope that helps

thanks

Finally a question I have an answer to :-)
I am in the wide-format printing business (car wraps, wallpaper, etc...) also I sell stickers and decals as well. When I outsource I use 4over4.com.

I've never used vistaprint because I resell and there isn't enough profit using them. I have used 4over, and I can vouch for Versa in Dallas. I choose 4over4.com over Versa unless I need it in my hand within a few hours.

I have used gotprint.com for business cards full color both sides did a good job and very inexpensive. 5,000 for 38.00! I am looking to have post cards done and they seem to be the best prices. Hope this helps. :)
